Description:
West Lomond (meaning ‘beacon’) is the highest point in the ancient kingdom of Fife, and this walk takes in both West and East Lomond (rising to 522m and 448m respectively). Ancient volcanic peaks, the Lomonds offer spectacular views over the surrounding plateau for those with the legs to climb the steep paths, although those looking for gentler exercise have the option of bypassing both climbs.
