Description:
The Wrekin is an impressive hill of volcanic rock dominating the countryside near Telford in Shropshire. It is the source of many local legends and sayings, and a popular destination for walkers. Views from the summit are spectacular throughout 360 degrees and it was once the site of an ancient Celtic fort, the defensive mounds by the gates of which are still prominent and form a part of the walk.
